Due to the governor's orders, the May club classes have been cancelled.
The club members are in the middle of a couple of things so here's the update on that.
1- Our scrappy stash busters challenge is being extended into next year's meetings. Alice L is ahead at the moment but having the summer to work on things will allow others to get in the act. Let's all try to make a good race out of this and keep using up those scraps. I'd love to see some comments on this.
2- The selvages block that we made in March was supposed to be made into something to show off at the April club class. Well, no April class and now no May class means you have lots of time to turn that selvages block into something wonderful. It will be the first thing we do at the next class. I'm even planning on getting something made to show, too.
Stay safe and stay strong so we can all get together once this pandemic is under control.

Thanks, Jean! You do an amazing job of teaching us new things, keeping us up to date, and challenging our creative side. I’ve been busy making masks to donate and for family, as well as, making cards to donate to the Chelsea Retirement Center. When I feel bad about missing family I think how it must be for the elderly that are all alone so much of the time. That really breaks my heart. Of course, like many friends we are also cleaning, purging (we need the donation centers and dump to open!) and cooking. I don’t know about everyone else, but I believe there is good that comes out of every situation and being forced to slow down and reflect on what’s really important in life has been a positive. I’d love to hear how others are spending their time in quarantine. Take care and be safe! Carol

I try, Carol. You sure have been busy. We are working on getting our things unloaded, unpacked and things put away. It's a big job but we love our cabin in the woods. Being in quarantine is not bothering us at all. We like being alone so we'd be staying in if there was a virus or not, haha.
Stay safe and stay strong.
