We woke up to about an inch of snow on the ground this morning. I think it's starting to melt now. I hear it's chilly down in SE Michigan as well. Can you remember when Mother's Day was this cold? Winter just doesn't want to let go.
I've gotten to sew just a bit this morning. I pulled out the LBB box and started stitching without thread on the HST strips. PP is the best way to make these strips and I always make a line of holes on the stitching lines before actually making a thread stitch. It helps me to fold on the line so much easier and then when it's time to remove the paper, there are double holes so it tears away so much faster.
I hope all are doing okay. I miss hearing from you all. Stay safe and stay strong.

Happy Mother's Day, everyone. Whether you are a mother or you have a mother, this is a special day to celebrate the fact that you are alive and someone made that happen. I will get phone calls from my oldest and youngest. Our middle child is up here with us in the North woods. He'll make sure my day is special. Thanks, Shane.
We are still having some chilly days but they say things will improve in a couple of days. I look forward to that. I'd like to be outside doing a few things. But, while I'm staying inside, I'm getting to work on the LBB quilt a bit and have started to get caught up on my card making. I've gotten so behind this year.
Enjoy your day. Do stop by and share a story or two.

Opening day of fishing season was yesterday so the guys went out to try a catch a few. What they caught wasn't big enough so we didn't have fish for supper last night. Maybe the Big Guy and I will try to catch a few today. He's been asking for fish supper. I'm not so hot on that. The weather has been warming up nicely. I know that once the temps get up, the mosquitoes will wake up and swarm me whenever I go outside. So, I'm hoping they will stay asleep for at least this weekend. Are you getting any sewing done? I've put together one reverse applique section for my LBB quilt. The HST strips that go on the outside of that block are killers to do. They take me forever to make. But, there's nothing easy on the LBB quilt. My goal is to have the top ready for quilting by the time we head back down state. I don't know if I can do it, we'll see. Okay, have a nice day. I miss everyone and wish people would stop by the forum and post. Maybe soon that will happen.

I haven't posted in forever. I wasn't seeing that anyone was stopping by so I stopped. But, Lori has joined in and posted her beautiful elephant quilt. Thanks, Lori. Maybe that will spark some interest.
Have a great day, all.
